Ice Cream Social and Grand Jury Education Night
for the National Day of Solidarity with Scott DeMuth
Friday, July 23, 7 pm

Join us for ice cream and (vegan) sorbet! We'll be discussing the role
of grand juries in today's repression of activists and radical
organizers and how to protect ourselves and our friends from legal
trouble in case the state comes knockin'. There will be a brief
presentation on what grand juries are and how they work in the US
criminal law system, followed by a discussion of how to resist grand
jury investigation. We will examine recent examples of grand jury
abuse, have an open but facilitated discussion, look at some educational
materials, maybe do some role-playing, and of course eat ice cream (or
sorbet) with other friendly folks. Donations encouraged, support Scott
in the face of state repression!
